Factory Denso air conditioning condenser pulled from a Toyota Camry. This is the complete assembly – aluminum core, both side tanks, the receiver drier bottle built into the end tank, and all four plastic mounting brackets. The label on the receiver drier bottle of this unit reads Denso AA447770-7240, 06E CANADA. The Toyota number for this condenser on gas Camry and RAV4 models is 884A0-06020, which lists over $400 new at the dealer.

Check this before you order

1. Read the number on the condenser already in your car. If it says 884A0-06020, this is your part.
2. If your car is a hybrid, stop here. The hybrid cooling pack uses a different condenser even in the same model year.
3. Confirm the drier bottle on your old unit is built into the end tank the same way it is in these photos. The Denso label on this one reads AA447770-7240, so if you can still read the label on yours it is an easy side by side check.

Condition

Used, removed from a running vehicle. The core is straight across the whole face with no crush spots, no flattened fin sections and no impact damage. There is light road film on the front face, which is normal for any condenser that has been in service. Both line ports are open and undamaged and all four plastic brackets are present and unbroken. This condenser has not been pressure tested. The photos are of the exact unit you will receive.

What is included

No O-rings, no line hardware, no fan or fan shroud. Any time an A/C system is opened up, most shops drop a fresh drier cartridge and new O-rings in at the same time. On this style of condenser the cartridge slides into the bottle from the cap end, so it is an easy thing to do on the bench before the part goes in the car.

Why used OEM

This is the Denso unit the car was built with. Core thickness, fin spacing, tank shape, port angle and bracket position all match the original exactly, so it drops into the factory mounts and lines up with the factory lines with nothing to trim or adapt. The low priced aftermarket copies for this application use thinner tube walls and a looser fin bond, which is where the early leaks tend to start.
