About this part

Genuine Honda / Acura blind spot information (BSI) radar sensor for the passenger right rear corner of a 2016-2018 Acura RDX. This is the module that sits behind the rear bumper cover and watches the lane beside and behind you, lighting the amber icon in the door mirror when a vehicle is there.

The factory label carries two Honda numbers, 36930-TX4-A01 (RADAR ASSY., BSI) and 36931-TX4-A01 (RADAR SUB ASSY). It is an Autoliv unit, P/N 630190900D, model 6234734 NB24, FCC ID WU8NB24BS, date code 180922 (22 September 2018). The label is also stamped BA. All of this is readable in the photos.

Fits

• 2016, 2017 and 2018 Acura RDX equipped with Blind Spot Information
• Passenger right rear position
• Technology Package and Advance Package trims, which are the ones that came with the blind spot system

Does not fit

• The driver left side. The left radar carries a different part number and the two are not interchangeable
• 2013 to 2015 Acura RDX. Blind Spot Information arrived with the 2016 refresh
• 2019 and newer Acura RDX. That is the next generation and uses TJB part numbers
• An RDX that was never built with the blind spot system. There is no bracket or wiring in the bumper for it
• This is not the front radar for adaptive cruise or collision braking. That unit mounts behind the front grille and is a completely different part

Check this before you order

• Read the label on your own sensor and match it to 36930-TX4-A01 or 36931-TX4-A01
• Confirm you need the passenger right side, not the driver left
• Plan on having the radar aimed and initialized with a factory scan tool after it goes in. These sensors will not come out of fault on their own

Condition

Used, pulled from service. The housing, the label and the connector are all intact, with no cracks, no broken mounting tabs and no bent pins. Light handling marks only. The unit in the photos is the exact one you will receive.

• The mounting bracket, 36932-TX4-A01, is not included. Reuse the bracket already on your vehicle

Why used OEM

Nobody makes an aftermarket version of this radar, and a new one from the dealer is a big ticket item. A used factory unit is the same hardware the car was built with, so it talks to the rest of the car exactly the way it is supposed to.
