About this part

Driver left hand door mirror off a 2003-2006 GM full size truck or SUV. Power adjust actuator, an integrated turn signal lens in the housing, the factory pigtail with both connectors still attached, and the painted cap.

The mirror glass is not included. What you are buying is the housing, the power actuator, the signal lens, the cap and the wiring. Replacement glass for these is cheap and easy to find, but you will need to source it separately or move your old one over.

There is no part number anywhere on this housing, so match yours by shape, connectors and features rather than by number.

What we can tell you about the features

This mirror has two plugs, a blue connector with twelve cavities and a black one with eight. Twenty circuits is far more than a basic power mirror needs, and on these trucks that two plug arrangement is what GM used on the loaded mirrors, the ones that combine power adjust, heated glass, turn signal, puddle lamp, power folding, driver memory and auto dimming.

Please read this part carefully. We have not bench tested it, and with the glass off we cannot confirm which of those features are actually wired in this particular unit. Our read of the connectors says it is a high feature mirror, but that is a read, not a promise. Compare your own plugs to the close up photos before you buy. If your truck has one smaller connector, this is not your mirror.

Does not fit

• The passenger right hand side
• Trucks with the extendable tow mirrors. Those are a completely different housing
• 1999-2002 GM trucks. The mirror and the plugs changed for 2003
• Any truck whose mirror plug does not match the two connectors in the photos

Check this before you order

• Compare your connectors to the photos, a blue twelve cavity plug and a black eight cavity plug
• Confirm you need the driver left hand side
• Have a mirror glass on hand, or plan to move your old one across. None is included here
• Look at the cap color in the photos. It is painted dark and it may not match your truck

Condition

Used, pulled from service. The housing and the cap are solid, with no cracks and no broken tabs. There are handling scuffs and light scratches on both, and the photos show them. The power actuator and the wiring are intact, and the connectors are clean with no bent or pushed out pins. The signal lens is not broken.

Why used OEM

The aftermarket version of the loaded mirror runs well over a hundred dollars new, and the cheap ones give up the signal lens and the fold detent. A factory housing bolts up and lines up the way the truck expects, and pairing it with a fresh glass is usually the cheapest way back to a mirror that works.
